2nd Annual Seminole Heights Charity “Chef Off” Competition
The second Annual Chef-Off is a neighborhood challenge based on the Food Network show, “Chopped” for the local chefs of Seminole Heights Restaurants. This contest will highlight the talent of each chef’s and raise money for Meals on Wheels, Tampa!
The Chef-Off will be held during the opening for 6 of the Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market, onOct. 12, 2014 from 11am to 2pm.
Join us next Sunday to watch Chef Lori Staczewicz and Chef Brett Wright from the Mermaid Tavern cook head to head against Chef Suzanne Crouch and her team from Ella’s Folk Art Cafe to keep their trophy win from last season and to claim bragging rights as the best Chef’s in Seminole Heights! Each Chef will be given a Mystery Market Basket filled with ingredients supplied by market vendors and fresh produce and starch supplied by the market. At 11am the bell will ring and the chefs will begin their cook off!
See your local chefs put their skills to test and get a taste of the results! Tickets are on sale now for a taste and a vote for “Peoples Choice”.
**Ticket sales are limited to 100 and are only $7 with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Meals On Wheels!
Celebrity judges will make the final winning decision. The Judges Table includes Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Ernest Hooper – Tampa Bay Times, Molly Demeulenaere – president MOSI and Meaghan Habuda Food and Drink Editor – Creative Loafing.
